RRB Group D Vacancy 2026 Zone Wise
The vacancies are distributed between the Railway Zones. The aspirants are supposed to choose a single RRB/RRC throughout the application. The zone summary, as per the official Annexure B, will be as follows.

RRB Group D Eligibility 2026
To get the chance of appearing in the Railway Group D Recruitment 2026, the candidates must meet the following requirements according to the closing date of the application.
Educational Qualification
- In case of General Candidates: Passed 10 th Standard (Matriculation) of a recognized Board/ institute or passed ITI of those institutions that are recognized by NCVT / SCVT.
- To qualify as Apprentices: A candidate who has a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) which is issued by NCVT, also qualifies.
Remark: Candidates who will wait to get their final results are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years (Maximum age:36 Years)

Medical Standards
The Railway Administration will require applicants to take the fitness test, which is a medical one.
- A-2, A-3: Distant Vision 6/9 (High vision).
- B-1 and C-1: Physical sight and mediocre fitness.
- Notice: Lasik patrons are not allowed A-2 and A-3 medical standard assignments.

RRB Group D Salary Details
The recruits who succeed will be given a fixed salary that is lower than the Level 1 of the 7th Pay Commission. It is one of the most attractive elements of the 10 th pass government recruitment.
- Basic Pay: ₹18,000/- per month.
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Revised every semi-annually (presently approximately half of Basic).
- House Rent allowance (HRA): 9, 18, or 27 percent depending on the city (Class X, Y, or Z).
- Transport Allowance (TA): DA + DA on TA.
- Gross Salary: The first year in hand salary of a Group D employee will come within the range of 28,000-32,000 per month.
- Benefits: Train ticket (Railway), Health treatment (Railway Hospital), Pension (NPS), and stable career progression.
RRB Group D, Process of selection
The selection process of the recruits is subdivided into three phases. The candidates will be forced to pass each stage to proceed to the next.
Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Stage 3: Document verification (DV), and Medical examination (ME).
